The Villa Maria Preserve
Set in the middle of 3,000 acres of private gardens and parkland - perched above Lake Pepin in Historic Old Frontenac, Minnesota - the Preserve is truly beyond compare.
Villa Maria Academy was opened in the 1890s as a girls school by the Ursuline Sisters of the Central Province, a group of Catholic nuns based in St. Louis & New Orleans. Villa Maria (formally known as Marian Hall) was built in 1946 by the Sisters in the style of historic French Country Chateaus and Villas.
Villa Maria, Woodhaven Lodge, and Ursuline Hall are now available for weddings and other events. In the near future, lodging rooms & suites will open in the Villa, along with cottages on the grounds.
Indoor & Outdoor Event Spaces
Villa Maria accommodates up to 290 guests and features two outdoor ceremony sites, three indoor venues, and three tent locations which allow you to “mix and match" to achieve your perfect day.
